Nearly a year ago, Zenith launched a striking new Pilot collection, launching a large-date flyback chronograph and an automatic watch, both available in stainless steel or black ceramic. Unlike earlier Zenith Pilot watches, these watches sport a completely new look, with a new case and crown, dial design, and the flyback model is powered by a new El Primero movement. The distinctive ribbed pattern on the creamy black dial, inspired by the corrugated metal skins of aircraft such as the aluminum used on the “Tin Goose” Ford Tricycle and the Junkers Ju 52, adds an additional aviation aesthetic to the collection. Zenith has expanded the range this year, introducing an attractive blue color scheme to the stainless steel model. Since there are no other changes to report, here is a brief introduction.
