New World Arcana Wiki And Complete Guide

Arcana is performed at an Arcane Repository which can be found in Settlements.

Arcana is an Crafting trade skill in the New World. Arcana is a skill in crafting that focuses on crafting magical weapons such as Staves. Arcanists also craft Potions and Tinctures which are consumables that can give a range of benefits like mana and health regeneration, buffs and the removal of harmful effects like Poison. These trade skills are not combat abilities that the player can learn and invest in. Trade Skills belonging to the category of Crafting focus on the creation of a wide range of items ranging from Weapons and Consumables to ammunition and furniture.

Arcana is a broad craft skill that can be used to create many items including magical weapons such as Fire Staves and Ice Gauntlets Potions as well as Weapon Coatings and Tinctures. Elemental Infusions allow for Arcanists to blend Elemental Essences to make stronger ones. Arcana makes use of resources and resources that are derived from the Gathering and Refining lines. The higher levels of Arcana allows players to craft more powerful weapons and consumables, as well as increase the Gear Score range for craftable weapons.

Arcana is performed at an Arcane Repository which can be found in Settlements. Arcane Repositories are tier level that can be raised by taking on Town Projects. Every weapon requires a specific stage of crafting. This tier level corresponds with the level of the Arcane Repository. If the Arcane Repository level in your settlement isn't sufficient it is possible to raise it or locate another settlement that has an Arcane Repository at a higher Tier. The Arcana line demands that players be at the proper Arcana level to create. Growing up in Arcana is simple. Players simply need to continuously make weapons and consumables that increase their level in the skill. However, collecting resources is more involved and can be more challenging.

Arcanists can draw on two main sources of essential resources, Mining and Harvesting and both are vital to getting the most value from the trade skills.

It is important to know that you can trade your materials for any crafting skill with other players. This allows players to still be successful in Arcana, even if they invest their money in other areas of expertise. However, it is necessary to play the game's economic system.

The weapon can be created with a chance of gaining one or more Perks or an empty Gem Socket. Although these results are not guaranteed, players can use the resource Azoth during the crafting process to increase the odds of gaining benefits, a socket, or both. There are a variety of special materials available which can be purchased in the world. They can be used to determine what Perk is added for the weapon. However, there are still no guarantee that a Perk or Gem Socket will indeed be added to the item but the likelihood increases as the crafting proficiency grows.

The Arcana crafting process starts by interacting with an Arcane Repository. These are the crafting stations that can be that are located in Settlements. In the crafting UI you will be able to view the recipes you have learned in the left-hand panel, to show all skills related to crafting with the crafting station. When you click on the recipe, it shows the ingredient as well as the materials required in the middle panel. A glimpse of the final product can be seen to the right.

On the left side are the available crafting recipes. Items shown in White show that you have met all requirements needed to create the item. Items in red indicate that you don't meet any of the crafting requirements (Resources or Skill Level). The small icon to the right of every item shows the skills used, and the numerical value indicates the minimum level required in the skill to craft the item.

The Materials panel in the middle displays the items necessary to construct the item. For weapons, every item must be made from one primary material, and two kinds of secondary materials. Crafters have the option to include a Special Resource in order they can decide beforehand which Perk will be included in the item. Azoth is a way to improve the chance of adding an Attribute or Perk to the item.

The Primary Materials comprise the main refined material that is used in crafting recipe. For instance melee weapons made by Weaponsmithing are primarily made of metals like iron or starmetal. A primary material's tier is always correlated with the item's level. Primarily, materials with lower tiers can't be used to create items with a higher level. The score on the gear of an item can be increased through the use of rarer Primary Materials of the correct Tier. Arcana weapons are also affected by this.

In the case of consumables created using Arcana, there is huge variety in the primary materials that are used. Crafters can make use of any kind of material to make a consumable, provided it falls within the proper category or tier. The recipe for the Strong Angry Earth Ward Potion requires 1x Tier 3 protective remedies as the primary ingredient. This means that you can utilize any of these to meet the requirements: Fungal Spores, Toadstool Fringe, Freezing Lodestone, Loamy Lodestone, Earthspine Leaf or Rivercress Leaf. Higher tier materials are able to be used in the production of consumables. But, they will not improve the power or quality of the product. To determine your chance of winning look up the results report.

Secondary Materials

In contrast to Primary Materials, Secondary Materials in a crafting recipe may be of any tier within the same category. For instance, the Weaponsmithing recipe for the Starmetal Great Axe calls for Refined Wood as one of the secondary materials. To satisfy this requirement the maker can choose any of the listed below: Timber Lumber Wyrdwood Planks or Ironwood Planks. Petrified Wood. Whisperwood. Quillbark, Ebonwood. Wildwood. Barbvine. Horn. Secondary Materials can be raised by using materials of a higher Tier like Ironwood Planks. A material with a greater rarity, like Barbvine will raise both the Minimum and Maximum Gearscore. The most important factor in making the most powerful equipment and other equipment is to make use of better materials.

For Consumables, Secondary Materials can be any tier within the same category. But, since Consumables don't have Gear Scores, using rarer materials will increase the chance of yielding more items upon crafting with success.

Certain types of items, such as exclusive or named weapons and Armor may require material requirements that cannot be modified. However, these types of items typically provide much better or unique bonuses to compensate for this lack of flexibility.

When you craft items, it is crucial to remember that your crafting station draws from the pool of resources from both your inventory and also any storage Sheds you possess within the Settlement, so it's not necessary to clutter your inventory with crafting materials in the event that you own a storage shed in the current settlement. Note that Storage Sheds are not shared between Settlements. Items you have in storage in Windsward cannot be used for making in First Light, for example. You can move objects from one storage shed to the next by using the storage menu.

Special Resources and Azoth

Perks can be added to the items you craft. However, the Perks that are created are entirely random and the likelihood that they will be added are quite minimal until you are at higher levels of crafting. Even then, the chances of getting any are not necessarily guaranteed.

Special Resources such as Chunk of Sparkmetal can be included during the crafting process in order to determine one of the new Perks. However, this does not guarantee the Perk selected will be included. In order to raise the chance of crafting an item being granted the Perk, players can add Azoth in the process of crafting. Azoth can be added in increments of 15, until a maximum of 75. In general, the more Azoth you spend you spend, the better chance of getting Perks. But, items with lower levels are likely to have a lower max threshold to qualify for Azoth infusion.

In the event of Consumables, Special Resources and Azoth are not able to be included.

The Results Panel displays various information about the product that is created. The most pertinent information available in this panel is the Potential Gear Score and the Potential Perks. The preview changes when you alter your materials. Consumables will provide you with the possibility of making additional items.

The bottom of the Results Panel displays a slider indicating how many of the objects you want to create with the current settings . This is helpful for mass crafting sessions. The panel also lists the requirements which will be shown in Green in the event that you meet these requirements, and Red in the event that they do not. The tax for the current crafting session is listed in the bottom. This tax will vary depending the rules that the Governor of the Settlement has set for crafting in this area. The other information displayed is the amount of skill XP that you will earn from your crafting session. When you are in a position to craft your item, click on the Craft button.

Your crafted equipment's Minimum Gear Score and Maximum Score can be increased by advancing Arcana in New World. The Maximum Gear Score can be increased to produce better products. However, the Minimum Gear Score can be reduced. This makes it simpler to make objects at higher levels.

Your chances of crafting additional crafting items will increase by leveling up in Arcana. This bonus chance is only available for Consumables and other Arcana-crafted items, such as the Elemental Motes which are infused at higher levels. This does not apply to Weapons that are crafted.

The chance increases in increments of 0.10% per level, maxing out at 20.00% at 200 levels. Be aware that a lot of crafted items have a Base Extra Items Chance, which has an inverse rate. For example, the Tier III Strong Health Potion has a base chance of -2%, and crafting it with the Arcana skill level of 100 (10 Extra Items Chance) gives you an 88% chance of producing additional items per craft.

The chance of creating additional items is also increased by using rarer or higher-quality materials when possible in the crafting process. Additionally, you can use equipment to increase the yield of your crafting.
