Diablo 2 Resurrected Act 3 Complete guide

The third act of Diablo II: Resurrected is huge in comparison to the two previous Acts. Following the path of Diablo along with Baal during Act II.

You'll be transported to in the Kurast Docks, a dock town where the last inhabitants of Kurast have managed to escape after the corrupt children of Zakarum have overrun the capital.

Act 3 The Will of Khalim is Detailed

The most challenging adventure in the game, it requires four elements to transform into "Khalim's Will" which is a unique flail weapon which is only used once, to smash the Compelling Orb and gain entrance to the Durance of Hate. When you are inside the Durance you'll need to descend to the third floor where you'll encounter Mephisto.

The vast majority of characters on Battle.net don't complete this quest. The majority of players get a portal in the Durance of Hate from another player, and then goes on to take down Mephisto and then proceed into Act Four. If you're doing this quest, it will take a bit of time and you'll need to complete most of Act Three in the process.

Request a portal into Durance Two, and skip this entire long and dangerous adventure. In most cases, you are able to join other characters of your level and if there is no one with the route, someone else is able to join one of their higher level characters and offer the group the waypoint. They can then go back with their original character and use someone else's portal to the waypoint. Cooperate and save everyone time. You don't need to gather Kalim's organs if a player grants you access to the town portal in the Durance of Hate, but you must take down Travincal's Council within Travincal before you can access the portal to town.

It has 2 Spider Forest dungeons, one of which is an area for bonus. Check the name and compare with the title of the quest area in the Quest Window if you don't want to waste your time as you only need to access to it once. Spider Cavern. It's the one that's not at the Waypoint.

It is not necessary to visit to the Great Marsh in most games. There's often a connection from The Spider Forest to the Flayer Jungle So, explore in the Spider Forest before you plunge into the huge and often inaccessible Great Marsh, or ask anyone for the Flayer route. It is important to note that the Flayer Jungle always connects to Lower Kurast going towards the highest right hand corner at the top right of your screen. You can roughly estimate which direction you'll be heading within the Flayer Jungle, and figure the direction you'll need to go to get there from

If you don't own an Horadric Cube, one of the High Council members in Travincal will take one off, as you need it to convert the ingredients.

Khalim's Will is an extremely valuable item for lower level characters, since it has the highest speed of swing of any one-handed item in the game, has no prerequisites for a Clvl and it does quite a bit of damage. It's an awesome item to put together and "twink" to lower level characters to use early on in the game.

Do not forget that the ultimate goal at this point at Kurast is to take down Mephisto. The ancient Horadrim kept the Lord of Hatred within the Guardian Tower that is located in of the Temple City of Travincal. You must be aware, friend. One way of gaining access into Mephisto's prison is to destroy the artifact called"The Compelling Orb." Compelling Orb.

Mephisto utilized this device to control the Zakarum Priests and their followers. The Orb cannot be destroyed by using an ancient flail filled with the spirit the unchangeable priest. Soon after his imprisonment, Mephisto worked his evil alteration of Zakarum's priesthood. All were turned to his dark ways, only one of them - Khalim the Que-Hegan of the High Council.

Mephisto directed others Council priests to kill Khalim, dismember him and scatter his remains throughout the Kingdom. It was the priest Sankekur who succeeded Khalim as Que-Hegan. He eventually becoming the personification of Mephisto in an earthly level. The corrupted High Council fashioned an Orb to control the rest the Zakarum followers and utilized their powers to hide the abode of their master from mortals.

Your task is to collect the scattered relics of Khalim His Heart the Brain as well as his eye. Then, using the Horadric Cube, transmute Khalim's Flail with his Relics. After that then you need to destroy this Compelling Orb with Khalim's Will to open the way into the dark sanctum Mephisto.

Act 3: The Guardian Details

On the third level of the Durance of Hate you'll find Mephisto. It is your responsibility to kill him in order for access to the Hell Gate, the portal to Act Four. It's visible in the middle of the blood lake however, you aren't able to access it, even with leap attack or teleport until you've killed Mephisto. Once he's dead and you are able to walk towards the Portal from his side of the blood the bridge of skeletons emerges through the blood.

Mephisto isn't really that difficult, his primary weapon is a quick cold ball that can do enormous damage if you do not have sufficient resistance to cold. He also has a charged bolt sort of attack, as well as a close-range poison attack, however neither of them are dangers to an adequately equipped character.

It's often harder to get to him, with the three High Council members on the level. Beware of Bremm Sparkfist Wyand Voidbringer, and Maffer Dragonhand. Bremm has a few minions , and is always close to the doorway to the big room that has blood pools. Bremm was very difficult to deal with in Diablo II pre-v1.08, since there was always Lightning and Blessed Aim Aura Enchanted and on Nightmare and Hell the player would typically get Multi-shots too. He's also very quick, and usually eats all minions that cross his path. Since v1.08 his name has changed to Lightning and changed to Fire Enchanted This means that it's much safer.

Around Mephisto and sometimes elsewhere on the level you'll find lots of Dark Lords, so get used to the rain of Meteors that falls on you.

Tips

You can kill Mephisto at a distance when you're armed with a ranged weapon and are unable to move toe to toe. You can get him to cross close to the Blood moat and run around towards the opposite side. If you hold him near the edges or screen then you can shoot him at will.

Bremm Sparkfist is always in the middle of the room, however the other two High Council members are in the side rooms, so you could take on one or the other of them, but you won't have to engage in both until you search for the other two.

If Bremm Sparkfist, or any or the remaining High Council bosses are too difficult to eliminate and are too quick to eliminate, you can guide them into a side room and take the town portal, then take the portal of another character or the waypoint back down and go through the third level without having to deal with them, provided that you leave them in whatever side room you left them in by your portal. This is also possible in reverse casting a portal close to Mephisto and take to the High Council to the stairs up, walk up to the waypoint, and take them down your portal.

However, there's a cheesy method you can utilize to kill Mephisto without causing any harm. If he is aware of you and begins to attack then quickly move to the left or right until you're on either side of the tiny stream of blood, where the Portal is. Mephisto might be able to hover, but he's unable to fly and will not be able to move across the stream to get to you.

If you manage to walk back sufficiently so that Mephisto appears to be in the top left corner of your view You will be capable of firing as many arrows at him as you want or damage him with range spells without getting hit by Mephisto. This trick is suitable for any character class which is why, even if you're a Barbarian You might want to buy a magical bow before you take the journey to take on Mephisto.

If you're able to strike Mephisto at this point, you'll probably be able to kill Mephisto without taking any injury in return. Once Mephisto falls, he'll reveal his Soulstone, as well as a few rare and magical items. The bridge to the Portal is finally opening.
