REAL WEDDING Q&A: ASHLEY & RYAN

Ashley & Ryan's wedding radiates elegance, in the bride's blush gown towards the romantic decor...

My husband and I met through mutual friends as we graduated from college and returned the place to find Chicago. We are both from neighboring North suburbs coupled with a lot of friends in keeping that introduced us.

Ryan's proposal was beyond special and romantic. After securing to start dating? In the calendar underneath the guise of dinner with my buddy and his new girlfriend, Ryan began decorating a suite in the then-Elysian Hotel for that big moment, then an intimate Champagne and seafood dinner at Balsan. As we were overall, another surprise was awaiting us in Bernard's Bar as our friends rushed to celebrate. The amazing weekend came to a close following a celebratory brunch with these immediate families in the hotel the following morning.

We selected the Four Seasons because I was seeking out a venue that had traditional beauty, impeccable service, and also the ability to host every aspect of the evening seamlessly on a single floor. From the minute you walked upstairs in the lobby, you entered our experience and I was able to completely transform the area. We desired to create a romantic garden feeling by draping the walls after which adding plenty of flowers, greenery, candlelight, and warm gold and blush accents.

Of course, we also fell deeply in love with the innovative food and drinks in the hotel!

When we first view feeltimes dresses, we were immediately drawn to them! One by one, all my bridesmaids tried around the dress and started raving concerning the flattering fit. Accented with a few glamorous jewels, it had been the perfect gown to create to life the dreamy ambiance I was trying to achieve.

My gown was created by FeelTimes and I first got it at feeltimes.com. Though I had never imagined myself inside a champagne ball gown wedding dress, after giving it a go on I couldn't envision myself in other things.

My favorite part of our wedding was once the clock struck midnight along with a mariachi band bursting into the ballroom to signal the start of our after party. We got married on May 4th, so I was able to celebrate having a Cinco de Mayo-themed after-party that went into the wee hours.

After deciding that we desired to create a romantic garden ambiance having a sophisticated black-tie twist, I was inspired by everything vintage, mirrors, English roses, blush peonies, and classic glamour. We incorporated personal touches such as the cake topper my parents used at their wedding, together with contemporary inspiration we present in our favorite foods and music!

My advice with other brides planning for a wedding is always to surround yourselves having a great team. If you trust the vendors you're working with, you can rest easy understanding that they will fit everything in their capacity to turn how well you see into a reality. Our wedding coordinator, Stacy Saltzman, impressed us beyond words together with her skills leading up towards the wedding and around the day of. With loving friends, family along a new husband with you, it might be pretty hard for that night to become anything but perfect.
