ROSIE & IAN: REAL BRIDE STORY

We had our wedding ceremony at Blackburn Cathedral and our reception at Hoghton Tower.

I wanted each day which I could make my very own, so I decided on a venue where I had free rein to select all my suppliers and make the look I wanted during the day. I wanted a traditional wedding that's why the Cathedral and Castle venues were ideal for that.

Describe your connection with buying the wedding dress?

I visited 18 dress shops as a whole, therefore it is fair to express I found your decision very difficult. Being quite petite, it had been very hard to tell exactly what the dresses would seem like when they fit me. But, I still enjoyed trying lots of short wedding dresses on.

Who have you taken with you?

My mum and my sister included me every time. It was so nice to possess them to exist for me with my choice. They did get their own opinions, which is nice but sometimes you need to just try looking in the mirror and trust what you believe and how you are feeling.

Did you realize as soon as you stepped into your gown or have you taken your time?

As soon as I saw my dress I knew it had been the one for me. I remember using it and it just felt right. When I turned to try looking in the mirror, I had a heart-stopping moment and that's when I just knew it needed to be this dress. After several shops, I had decided I wanted a larger dress having a prominent waistband along with a Mikado skirt. I bought my dress at feeltimes.co.uk. I find the FeelTimes gown in ivory/white.

Any strategies for future brides?

Try to not get too swept up on the plan during the day. Things go off schedule, just don't be concerned about it. Also, try to keep your brand-new husband in your area throughout the day! It makes it more convenient for the photographer and seeing your friends and relatives.

So, that's it! Even when you think it's impossible to locate your perfect fit…visit feel times and also have faith you will find the main one!
