Antonia & Craig's Classic & Elegant Wedding

Classic, elegant and delightful. These are just three words that sprang to mind as I enjoyed the magnificent portfolio of images that form today's feature.

Make yourself a mug of something warm and relaxed for the wonderful wedding from the lovely Antonia and Craig.

On 21 August 2021 business development director wed portfolio manager inside a Church of England ceremony followed by an English Country-inspired reception near Midhurst in West Sussex. The couple desired an ageless and classic wedding, using the bride wearing a custom-made ball gown wedding dress in one of her favorite boutiques —— FeelTimes.

"When I started my wedding gown journey I knew I wanted an extended train, volume, sleeves, and lace. I desired to emulate a vintage, traditional style however with a modern twist of the V-back. It felt very Kate Middleton without having to be a copy. I always wanted a sizable and long wedding gown that would evoke a sense of a vintage wedding and bride, without appearing like a meringue or that I was trying way too hard."

"I adored my veil and also the process of piecing it together. I always envisaged having my face covered using the veil when I wanton to the church, it flowing behind me. I wanted the lace around the veil to almost look as though the roses and foliage were growing across the edges and slowly becoming smaller round the fingertips."

Craig and Antonia happen to be a couple since May 2009.

"Our story started 13.5 years back at Hurstpierpoint College, West Sussex. Craig tells the storyline differently but we started 'speaking' after I sent him an extremely embarrassing message on Facebook and slowly I got to know each other. Craig being the entire year above at our boarding school was quite the College gossip. We visited different Universities (Exeter and Reading) which allowed us to completely ins us university life, but long-distance was difficult. Eventually, both of us moved to London as well as in 2015 we bought our first flat together."

"Craig's proposal would be a complete surprise, despite being together for such a long time. On Good Friday 2018, he took me for that Sunrise Breakfast at Duck and Waffle, London. He then required for a walk through a silent St James' Park and, having a backdrop of Buckingham Palace, he proposed."

The couple's original date for the wedding was 26 September 2020 however they decided early on within the first lockdown they would post it one it to 2021.

The bride's sister Dominique sang 'All of Me' by John Legend, combined with Alex Ling.

"This may be the only song Craig has stated reminds him of me also greatly what we think of when inquired about 'our song'. My sisterly is a wonderful singer and it would be a privilege to possess her as chief bridesmaid the paperwork."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Decide what you could and can't do without if things can't happen as planned. It's very easy to put off hard conversations to avoid the news of anxiety about hearing the worst but keeping up to date with news and developments helped us. Family and friends will understand in case your plans must change."
