  1. c. Medium Enterprises: Investment in plant and machinery or equipment should be more than INR 10 crores but not exceed INR 50 crores, and turnover should be more than INR 50 crores but not exceed INR 250 crores.
  2. Valid Aadhaar Number: The applicant must have a valid Aadhaar number. In the case of a proprietorship, the Aadhaar of the proprietor is required. In the case of a partnership firm or a limited liability partnership, the Aadhaar of the authorized partner(s) is required.
  3. PAN (Permanent Account Number): The PAN of the enterprise or the individual holding the PAN is mandatory for Udyam Registration.
  4. Business Activities: The enterprise must be engaged in the activities as mentioned in the MSME Development (MSMED) Act, 2006.

Registration Process:

  1. a. New User Registration:
    • On the Udyam Registration portal, click on the "For New Entrepreneurs who are not Registered yet as MSME Registration.
    • Enter your Aadhaar number and validate it through OTP verification.
    • Fill in the required information to generate the registration form.
  2. b. Existing Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) Conversion:
    • If you have an existing UAM, select the "For those already having Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum" button.
    • Enter your UAM details and validate it through OTP verification.
    • Fill in the additional information required to generate the new Udyam Registration form.

Business Details:

  1. Provide the following information:
    • Personal and Aadhaar details of the proprietor/partners/directors.
    • PAN details.
    • Name, type, and address of the enterprise.
    • NIC code(s) corresponding to the primary business activity.

  3. Generation of Udyam Registration Certificate:
    • After successful submission, an acknowledgment number will be generated.
    • The Udyam Registration Certificate will be issued in electronic form with a unique Udyam Registration Number (URN).
  4. MSME Database:
    • The information provided during registration will be updated in the official MSME database.
